From the Mind of the poet RUMI . . . on stepping up and Doing It.
I took some liberties from a poem by 13th century poet Rumi and how it can apply to your internet business:
A baby bird stands on the edge of a nest all day.
(getting ready to get ready to get ready)
Then he hears a whistle, Come to me.
(you can do this)
How could he not fly toward that?
(don’t let fear hold you back from making a video, or writing a blog, or hosting a webinar)
Wings tear through the body’s robe
when the letter arrives
that says,
“You’ve flapped and fluttered against limits long enough.
You’ve been a bird without wings in a house without doors or windows.
Compassion builds a door.
Restlessness cuts a key.
Step off
proudly into sunlight,
not looking back.
Take sips of this pure wine being poured.
Don’t mind that you’ve been given a dirty cup.”
(stop using excuses that you’re not smart enough,
or don’t know enough yet or don’t have the
money or resources, just take a step forward)
