Keeping your sanity in your internet business: How to Avoid Information Overload tip of the week…

Keeping your sanity in your internet business can be a challenge with so much information out there to absorb and sort through. TMI… too much information.

My tip of the week that saves me countless hours and frustration (i still have all my hair, lol)is to keep your user IDs and passwords for all the sites you go to in an address book. Email accounts, forums, blogs, advertising sites, business/programs you are in, affiliate sites, and the list goes on.

I’m not talking about a virtual one on your computer, but a real life one. Like that little black book guys used to keep of all the hot girls numbers they met back before cell phones and the internet.

Before too long, you will likely amass dozens if not hundreds of sites that require an ID and password.

Unless you are some memory whiz, I would strongly consider writing these down to maintain your sanity and save tons of time.

Some people will say, just have your browser save them for you. This is fine, but sometimes browsers crash or act up.

A hard copy is always a good idea – just make sure it’s kept in a safe place and doesn’t walk off.

I go a few steps further and write in my doctor’s handwriting impression which makes it hard for most people to read, but I can read it. I also don’t put down the exact words, but rather use memory joggers that are easy for me to remember.

I chose an address book over the generic notebook tip I was told to do for the simple reason I think it’s easier to find things alphabetically by website rather than chronologically (in the order you wrote them down).

Hope this simple but not so common sense tip helps save you tons of time and frustration – it sure has for me.

PS – just like when you’re doing a project on the computer – save often – remember to add a new site/ID/password to your address book at the same time you do it online.

wishing you abundant success!
